HireBasis was founded on the vision to solve the post-covid "great resignation" problem which has led to a significant employee shortage crisis in the US (In 2021, a record 47 million Americans quit their jobs, and resignation rates continue to remain high during the following year). We are focused on connecting the employer market in the US and the labor pool in developing economies where there is high youth-unemployment (particularly in the Balkan region). The goal of this startup is to leverage the proliferation of remote work opportunities in developed Western economies (specifically small to mid-size businesses that are looking to offer such jobs) to the high supply of qualified candidates in developing economies where the cost-of-living is comparatively lower. Ultimately, the objective is to provide both parties with a mutually beneficial solution where the employers will be able to reduce labor costs and fill vacancies while the employees will gain opportunities to earn higher wages.
