Rob Hinton, PE, has worked in the fire protection industry since 1998. Starting his career as a fire sprinkler designer, Rob understands the challenges that contractors face in working with AHJ's to provide fire protection designs that meet architectural needs. Rob began working for the University of Washington as a fire protection engineer in 2005. As a fire protection engineer for a large college campus, Rob gained valuable experience working with a variety of occupancies, including laboratories, health care, animal research, large assembly occupancies, and campus-wide fire protection systems. Rob has also owned and operated Hinton Engineering since 2005. Rob has used his experience to provide services in the design of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, inspection, and commissioning of fire protection systems, plan review, code consulting, and hazardous materials.
