HINCOL may not have been formed in the new millennium, but is a shining example of unlocking of value and untapped potential being put to best use. In the early 1990s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited - India’s premier oil refining and marketing company, and Colas SA, France – a global leader in the road construction and infrastructure development business, envisioned immense potential in the field of value added bituminous products. This vision led to a JV agreement in the year 1996 and Hindustan Colas Ltd. (HINCOL) was formed. The same year saw HINCOL commence manufacturing operations at its 1st plant located at Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra. Therein began a journey that has seen HINCOL emerge as market leaders in the value-added bitumen segment, with eight advanced manufacturing Plants across India and a marketing network that services road construction activity all over the country. HINCOL is a 50:50 Joint Venture between two global giants and strives to promote the ideals of both its parent organisations. Over the years we have played a pioneering role in the evolution of Bitumen Emulsions and Modified Bitumen as technologically superior alternatives for specific applications in the road construction industry in India. It has been an exciting and pleasant journey for us since inception, a journey in which we have established a total of 8 manufacturing plants at Navi Mumbai, Bahadurgarh, Irungattukottai, Savli, Visakhapatnam, Mangalore, Jhansi and Haldia.
