The HPNC provides free computer access, employment support, educational programs and numerous projects to revitalize the historic Highway Park community of Lake Placid, FL. We host annual health fairs, arts/cultural events, and community gardens. We provide youth programs (Wele Youth Leadership), senior citizen programs, and more (rehabilitation of public spaces, commercial district upgrades, etc.). An award winning affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, our agency as Keep Highway Park Beautiful, hosts annual Great American Cleanups, litter education, tree planting, adopt a street programs and we create green spaces in our community. We also partner with the Florida Department of Transportation in its annual Keep Our Paradise Litter Free clean up programs. We developed and manage the U S Hwy 27 S Veterans Memorial honoring all veterans from near and far. We provide home ownership counseling services through another affiliate of our agency, Hicoria Pines Homes. This affiliate helps low income clients through home ownership programs. We are currently 502 packager with the US Department of Agriculture to help low income individuals/families pre-qualify for home ownership through credit counseling and other support.
