Highlander Brew co started production in 2009 with a small brew kit in a rented facility in South River Ontario at the edge of Algonquin Park. In 2016 Highlander completed a multimillion dollar facility in South River. The site includes brewery, retail store, by the glass bar and event room. Highlander produces over a dozen beers ranging from mild lagers to rich imperial stout. The retail store offers tasting of all beers .Visitors can also select items from a wide range of artisanal food and art from the region around the brewery.
