Cottesloe Primary School is a dynamic, public school with a rich heritage, strong traditions and identity. This history influences the development, operation and learning environment of our school. Cottesloe Primary enjoys the well deserved reputation as being a school of choice for families who live in the Peppermint Grove, Cottesloe and Mosman Park area. The school also accepts enrolments from families outside these areas, if places are available. 2016 will see the school continue to evolve and grow, using the flexibilities gained from achieving Independent Public School (IPS) status in 2015. Staffing flexibilities have allowed us to create class structures and provide additional staffing for us to cater to meet the educational and social needs of our students. We have responded quickly and creatively to ensure all Cottesloe Primary Students are given the opportunity to have success. The School strives to support students to achieve to their best academically, creatively and socially within and outside the classroom. There is no doubt our students are fortunate to learn in such a supportive, positive and engaging environment. Staff are privileged to be able to partner with parents and a community who is willing and able to help their children achieve to the best of their ability, achieving the goals described in our School Vision. Scarborough Primary School, established in 1934, is proud of its heritage as the very first school in Scarborough and the learning environment it provides that will equip our students with skills and abilities for their future in an ever changing world. Welcome to East Fremantle Primary School The school was established in 1898, is located 2 kms east of the Fremantle CBD and caters for 430 students aged 4-12 years. The school prides itself on its sense of community – more akin to the atmosphere of a country school than a city school with very high parent involvement in a wide range of capacities. Parents have consistently perceived teaching staff as professional, committed, enthusiastic and approachable and the school as one which encourages a sense of pride in achievement and a sense of self-worth. The vocational background of the school community is mainly professional or small-business operator with a considerable number of parents working in the arts and associated areas. This creates a strong expectation of and support for, a focus on catering for the performing and visual arts which the school does through its music, visual arts and dance programs. While the school caters for all students’ needs, there is also a school-wide focus on successfully catering for the considerable number of talented and gifted students – as evidenced by the number of students gaining places in Secondary school Gifted and Talented programs.
