High Street Textile Testing Services Limited (High Street) is an established Textile and Consumer Product testing Laboratory based in Leeds UK with offices and Labs in 16 countries worldwide. The laboratory was originally started by Montague Burton as a research and development laboratory for the Burton Group more than 50 years ago. High Street was founded in 1994 as the result of a management buy out from The Burton Group, by the then laboratory manager Mr. D. F. Ambler, who has over 40 years experience in the areas of laboratory testing and research. High Street became fully independent at that time and achieved UKAS Accreditation in 1995, and is now accredited by most UK based Retailers. Many of the experienced Burton Group staff made the change along with Mr. Ambler and are still employed by High Street, it is this that gives the company its depth of knowledge and experience. Since 1994 High Street has experienced annual growth and diversified in all areas of consumer product testing including Flammability and chemical testing, and has now developed Global reach. In October 2006 High Street formed an alliance with MTS Global and now has increased consumer product testing capabilities in many manufacturing countries worldwide. In addition to Softlines testing High Street can now offer a full range of Global Consumer Product services including, Inspections, Supplier Audits, Social and Ethical Audits, Toys, Hardlines and Footwear Testing. High Street offers a no nonsense approach in supporting you to get your product to market. We use our knowledge, expertise and experience to the advantage of all our Customers and Retailers, we will test what we receive and report what we find, if there are any problems with the report we will endeavour to help you find a solution.
