Having started life as an innovative and world leading technical design consultancy, Hidalgo embarked upon a strategy to create and develop its own portfolio of wireless medical applications, which it could then commercialise and market. Its flagship, current application is the Equivital Range of Life Monitoring systems (www.equivital.co.uk), the world leader in ambulatory, personal physiological monitoring (ability to pick up and display your personal physiological status, including HR, skin/core temp, breathing rate etc and display in real time, anywhere in the world). Working in sectors ranging from military (US DoD, France, Spain etc) to NHS, Sports (UK Sport) and research, Hidalgo is at the forefront of a sector that is set to explode in terms of demand over the next 2 years or so. Hidalgo was acquired by the Jaltek Group in March 2008.
