HIAS Information

In a time when far too many doors are closed to refugees and forcibly displaced people, HIAS stands as a steadfast beacon of hope. Founded more than 120 years ago, we champion the values of welcome, justice, empathy, partnership, courage, and resilience. We are a Jewish humanitarian organization that works in the United States and across the globe, providing vital services to refugees and asylum seekers of all backgrounds so they can rebuild their lives. With the strength of Jewish communities beside us, we not only deliver legal support, economic empowerment, and social services, we also advocate for the rights of forcibly displaced people around the world. Every action we take reaffirms our commitment to keep the pathways to hope and refuge open for those in need. Join us in building a future of safety, dignity, and opportunity for all.
