India and Germany have been enjoying successful co-operation in many different sectors for a very long time, but never before have the relations been so close. Apart from the growing economic exchange, the political, scientific and cultural ties could hardly be better between the two countries. Germany is by far India's most important business partner in the EU. The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau – German Engineering Federation) is a network of more than 3,348 engineering industry companies in Germany making it one of the largest and most important industrial associations in Europe with over 450 industry experts. VDMA was founded in 1892 and since then the engineering companies have been successfully working with us to create a powerful force to present their interests both at national and international level. VDMA India office, acts as a "bridge-head" between German and Indian Industry. Besides it serves the Indo-German economic relations in the different engineering sectors and promotes the activities of VDMA member companies in India. With almost 20 years of experience and a team of committed and qualified experts, VDMA India maintains close relations with the Indian Industry, Indo-German companies, Embassy and Consulates as well as various Indian Industry Associations through our offices in Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi (Noida). VDMA India is the only association of its kind focussing on Mechanical Engineering Industry and is active in various specialised sectors. Over the years, VDMA India has compiled a database of around 42,000 vital contacts across 45 industrial sectors in India. Intensive and varied activities of VDMA India since many years, has led to closer co-operation between the members of the specialised associations within VDMA and their Indian customers. We are close to our around 600 members in India and provide them necessary information and support.

The BDI is the umbrella organisation of German industry and industry-related service providers. It represents 39 industrial sector federations and has 15 regional offices in the German federal states. The BDI speaks for more than 100,000 private enterprises employing around 8 million people. Industry is the basis of the German economy and plays a decisive role in determining the future competitiveness of our country. The BDI relays the interests of German industry to political representatives in Germany, Europe and worldwide.

▶️ BVMW - The German Association for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises ✔️ The BVMW is a politically independent association which caters for all commercial branches and professions, and represents the interests of small and medium-sized businesses in politics, with administrative authorities, with trade unions and with major companies. Together with our alliance of more than 30 partner associations, we represent more than 900.000 voices. The BVMW manages a network of representative offices in more then 35 countries. Moreover our association co-operates with many national partner associations throughout the world and has agreements with numerous associations. Within these co-operations the BVMW has an extensive and fruitful exchange of knowledge concerning common projects and regularly organizes international conferences on various topics dealing with foreign affairs.
