Aalborg Pirates blev dannet i marts 2012 som Aalborg Ishockey A/S. 1. juni tog vi så navneforandring til Aalborg Pirates med et erklærede mål at blive en magtfaktor i dansk ishockey på alle måder: - Vi vil have flere folk i hallen. - Vi vil skabe talenter. - Vi vil nytænke og forbedre oplevelsen ved at gå til ishockey. Og vigtigst af alt: - Vi vil bevise, at det godt kan lade sig gøre at levere tophockey og topoplevelser i Aalborg - og samtidig holde styr på økonomien. Derfor har vi også en lille organisation, som heldigvis får uvurderlig hjælp af en lang række frivillige hjælpere, så hverdagen – og især kampdagene – kan fungere.

If this development were to reach its full potential and truly take electronic sport from its current niche and out upon the world stage, a market leading team that embodied all the professionalism and dedication that has become a symbol of other top sport organizations, had to be created. Combining several of Denmark’s most prominent personalities, the foundation was made and the first meetings took place. With our headquarters location and our strong ties to the city of Copenhagen, the name of Copenhagen Wolves was agreed upon because it signaled both the professionalism and the togetherness that we wished to be symbols of. Here we are 4 years later. Copenhagen Wolves has evolved into a global brand through an incremental development that has featured both ups and downs, and we are still just as excited and optimistic about the future. We have been in a constant state of development since the very first get-go and with the growing results and knowledge about our existence is proof of that very fact. We have participated in major transnational events in more than 15 countries across the world and we already have been invited, and plan to, participate in many more. With each tournament our fan base, trophy collection and international brand awareness grows.
