Every child deserves the best start in life – it has long-lasting consequences for health, wellbeing, and life chances.And yet millions of children are at risk of living shorter, less healthy and less happy lives because of their early experiences.Our support changes children’s lives. Every day, HENRY is helping families provide a great start for their children – from breakfast to bedtimes – so they flourish throughout childhood and beyond.We have developed a national reputation for delivering responsive packages of family support and practitioner training that help families with babies and children make and sustain transformational lifestyle changes which support child development and lifelong health and wellbeing. We are working with over 60 local partners, including health trusts, local authorities, public health departments, voluntary organisations and universities.- Our practitioner training course are all accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH)- Our Healthy Families programme has been rated as effective by the Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) and they gave us a the best possible cost score- Our family support carries the CANparent quality mark- The King's Fund awarded us a prestigious GSK IMPACT Award- We deliver lottery and Department of Health grants- A pilot RCT of our work is underway funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).We have the strongest evidence base in the UK of any healthy start and child obesity intervention available nationally. www.henry.org.uk/evidence-base
