Established in 1952, Historic Annapolis is the leading nonprofit preservation and history organization in Annapolis, MD. Our mission is to Preserve and Protect the historic places, objects and stories of Maryland’s capital city, and provide engaging experiences that Connect people to the area’s diverse heritage.
Historic Annapolis has preserved the distinctive character of Maryland's capital city through public advocacy and guidelines, purchase and renovation, original research, and educational programs. The Foundation manages historic Annapolis properties including the Museum of Historic Annapolis at the St. Clair Wright Center, William Paca House and Garden, Shiplap House, Museum Store, Waterfront Warehouse, and Hogshead at 43 Pinkney Street.
South Gate Community Adult School (SGCAS) is a one-stop adult education center. Our program is designed to respond to your changing educational and career-technical needs as well as the needs of business and industry. The purpose of SGCAS is to provide inexpensive, high-quality, state accredited education and career technical programs. It is structured to be an open door for adult students to re-enter an educational institution for purposes of a high school diploma, English proficiency skills or career training and preparation.
