Canna Hemp’s journey began with a belief in natural healing. As medical doctors continue to focus on prescription drugs that treat only symptoms, the founders of Canna Hemp began to seek solutions that addressed the whole body, without the negative side effects from mainstream medications.
We at Canna Hemp seek to bring the incredible health benefits of CBD hemp oil through a variety of CBD related products. From tinctures, to vapes, to lotions, and even lip balms, all of Canna Hemp's products are lab tested and 100% legal CBD.

We now make our garments with local people in Los Angeles and neighboring cities. The quest to find the right people with whom to work in Los Angeles led us to some incredible places, leaving indelible impressions of an industry that encompasses supremely efficient, sunny, familial sew shops and more obscure, grimmer places, where people cared less. Thankfully, we found homes with people we love, who make the time to make our clothing right. From our cutters who've been in the business thirty years to our sewers with twenty-five, we've built a professional team with skilled, compassionate people leading every operation. The shops respect their employees, in many cases love them as literal husbands, sisters, sons and daughters, or as figural family, the family we choose. These shops undergo and pass all the rigorous inspections that are now the norm in our domestic garment industry. They pay fairly, and keep the shops tip-top. Our customers may pay a few dollars more for our shirts now, but we're confident they were made in factories that respect workers, give them breaks, pay them on time, etc... and where the buttons and buttonholes are well-sewn, the sleeves fit for human beings--garments you can count on and wear for years. We think that's a bargain!
Founded in 1996 as a retailer, Global Hemp develops innovative technologies for harvesting and refining hemp fiber for use in multiple value added products.
Unlike grain and cannabinoids (CBD), fiber is not a turnkey industry. Fiber also requires a significant amount of capital expenditure. As such, Global Hemp has been developing an alternative to traditional harvesting and processing methods. This is necessary as current methods yield inconsistent fiber.
Global Hemp Cord has been manufactured in China for over 10 years using cottonized hemp. This is a chemical process that removes non cellulosic components from hemp -- which is a lignocellulosic material -- including pectin, hemicellulose, and lignin. The result is a nearly pure form of cellulose that can be spun on modern equipment. The waste water is treated, and therefore not disposed of inproperly. While this fiber is weaker than traditional hemp fiber, it's mostly used in crafts, and packaging as an eco-friendly alternative to cotton. This is how come we are able to provide consistently dyed colors, and there is no odor.
While the cottonization process has been used by our partner in China, we have been quietly working on an even better process that adheres entirely to the principles of "Green Chemistry." For example, all waste materials, such as lignin, are valorized for use in producing co-products.
Furthermore, the company has been developing additional processing methods and value added materials -- especially composites -- for use in building materials, automotive, and other industries. While animal bedding and hemp-lime "hempcrete" are quite popular, we believe the materials we are developing are the high value materials that are necessary for building a new industry.
