Hemel FM Ltd Information

Hemel FM is a community radio station for Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas. Hemel FM aims to provide an interactive community facility through the medium of radio which will enhance and enrich the community. Hemel FM is a true community project, and provides a true community service. It has been set up and will be operated by the people of Hemel Hempstead, for the people of Hemel Hempstead. Our listeners should remember that those of us on this side of the microphones and studio equipment are just the same as those of you at the other side of the radio receivers. That is to say, by and large, we live and work in Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas, and have simply volunteered to get involved in doing something of value to the benefit of the local community. Remember, some of us are not experienced broadcasters or presenters, but we will be doing our best. That is the spirit of community radio isn’t it - we want to hear local people talking about local issues and interests. Our range of programmes will relate to life in Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas, and will touch most if not all areas of the community. There should be something of interest to every listener. Everyone is openly invited to contribute to Hemel FM.
