Helix Engineering was formed a little over a decade ago by a group of leading engineers in the Plantation Engineering Sector in order to cater to the growing needs of the Plantation Industry. The Helix name is synonymous with quality, excellence and innovation. It's continuous research and development have made it become the leading engineering firm in the plantation sector. In addition to serving the plantation sector, it has now diversified it's activities into other industries specialized in Driers and Material Handling Equipment. In addition to providing tailor made engineering solutions to it's customers, it's Marketing Division for catering to the need for spare parts and other machinery accessories from world reputed brands. Helix are also agents for DERCO Conveyor Belts from Holland, HELICON transmission and material handling equipment, OILON Burners, NAIS and SHINKO electrical and electronic products and OCHIAI tea harvesters from Japan. HELIX also offers Consultancy and Planning services and Turnkey Project services for it's local and overseas clients, The highly professional and energetic team is headed by Mr. Laksiri Peiris who counts over thirty years experience in the Plantation Engineering sector and has many patents to his credit, assisted by a team of young qualified and experienced Engineers. The fully equipped Workshop employing over fifty skilled and semi skilled workers is conveniently situated in the suburbs of Colombo. The Company has now extended it's operations overseas to providing engineering consultancy services and supplying machinery in Vietnam , Azerbaijan and South Africa to name a few countries. The Marketing and Agri Business Division supplies agricultural equipment and conducts training programmes, for it's local and foreign clients.
