A Cocamar Cooperativa Agroindustrial foi fundada em 27 de março de 1963 com a denominação de Cooperativa de Cafeicultores de Maringá Ltda. Reuniu, inicialmente, um grupo de 46 fundadores, todos eles produtores de café. O objetivo era organizar a produção regional, receber e beneficiar o produto. Com o tempo, a cooperativa diversificou os seus negócios, cresceu e hoje está entre as maiores organizações cooperativistas do País, sendo dona do maior e mais diversificado parque industrial do cooperativismo brasileiro. A Cocamar conta com 100 unidades em municípios do norte e noroeste do Paraná, oeste paulista e sudoeste do Mato Grosso do Sul, contando com cerda de 14 mil cooperados que atuam na produção de soja, milho, trigo, café e laranja.
