HEBCoN Information

HEBCoN is a network of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the UK and Ireland who are committed to sharing and promoting good practice in Business Continuity Management (BCM), risk management and emergency planning. In recent years, we have been delighted to welcome new colleagues from Further Education and continue to expand our network globally. Since 2007, HEBCoN has supported universities to develop good business continuity practice, through shared experiences, conference and professional expertise. Universities present a hugely varied BC challenge with a broad range of facilities from traditional classrooms, to world class laboratories and research, arts and business centres and sports facilities to name but a few, based on either single or multiple sites. Our university BCP colleagues are probably the most versatile, innovative and nimble professionals you could hope to meet and we work together to support each other to ensure our organisations remain world class. We look forward to sharing our experiences and expertise with you, and look forward to building a network of universities and colleges and schools with the aim of improving business continuity and incident response in higher education.
