Heathrow Strategic Planning Group (HSPG) is a joint partnership of many of the local authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) responsible for planning the land use, transport, environment, economic development and sustainable development of the sub-region surrounding Heathrow Airport. HSPG was formed in 2015 to jointly shape the proposed expansion of Heathrow airport, regardless of individual members' support or opposition to it. Our current focus is recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and economic downturn, to ensure local communities and businesses reliant on the airport can quickly get back on their feet, while ensuring a better environment is also created.
