Special Service for Groups (SSG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community-based solutions to the social and economic issues facing those in greatest need. In its 66 year history, SSG has evolved into a model organization designed to provide service to diverse groups with maximum efficiency and impact. This is achieved by developing and managing programs that serve our many communities by encouraging their involvement and self-sufficiency. We believe that the needs of groups and individuals cross traditional ethnic, racial, and other cultural boundaries. SSG serves as a bridge between people with common needs to identify ways to pool resources for the greater good of all. Today, SSG operates over 20 human service divisions that offer a wide scope of services that include: Mental and behavioral health treatment, homeless services, HIV treatment and prevention, occupational therapy, obesity prevention, environmental justice projects and older adult services.

Rising Tide Charter Public School is an inclusive college preparatory public school serving grades 5-12, with high expectations for all students. Founded in 1998, the school provides a strong academic program rooted in the history of Plymouth, MA. Enrollment is open to all students regardless of academic achievement, special education needs, or proficiency in the English language. Rising Tide has developed a reputation as a school that holds high expectations for all students, where the teaching and learning environment helps students develop foundational skills and critical thinking. A small school with a structure of supportive relationships, Rising Tide is able to provide an environment that is physically, emotionally, and intellectually safe. In such a setting, students can develop a love of learning and high achievement, take creative and intellectual risks, build increasing personal and academic responsibility, and develop an understanding of themselves and others.

We help individuals who are aged 16 years and older, as well as their families and loved ones. WHAT DIAGNOSES OR SPECIFIC DISABILITIES DO YOU WORK WITH? We do not limit our services by medical condition. People with any diagnosis (or no diagnosis) will be considered, as long as they want to establish and work on their life goals. Although we don't limit ourselves to any specific diagnosis, we do often work for individuals with complicated diagnoses such as schizophrenia, Asperger syndrome, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, depression, anxiety, and high-functioning autism. DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE? We operate on a fee-for-service basis and do not accept insurance. This allows us to select the best activities and support systems for you to move toward your goals as rapidly as possible. We do not conform to a medical model that is designed for traditional rehabilitative and habilitative services. HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES TYPICALLY COST? Everyone's situation is unique. Because our services vary based on your personal needs and goals, all occupational therapy and transitional services are billed on an hourly basis, and can be prorated as needed. We will take a few months to get settled and meet our grandbaby. Dr. Davidson will start working with clients and families in the west Chicago area in early 2017. An office location is yet to be determined. WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS? We meet with clients at their convenience, so we are happy to arrange a time or day that fits your personal schedule.
