Founded in 1956, the Home Builders Association of East Central Illinois (HBAECI) represents builders and associated businesses throughout a seven county region that includes Champaign, Vermilion, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Piatt, and Coles counties. HBAECI, one of the fastest growing HBAs in Illinois, is dedicated to bringing together and growing individuals and businesses that share the common bond of new construction and improving the quality of life in east central Illinois. HBAECI has long been an active and influential participant in local, state and national housing issues. Its membership regularly meets with local policy makers and annually visits legislative leaders in the state capitol in Springfield on HBAI "Lobby Day." In addition, HBAECI hosts an annual legislative breakfast where its membership can meet one-on-one with local and area representatives and senators to discuss new construction issues.
