Haydel Biel & Associates (HBA) is a Registered Investment Advisory firm and Wealth Manager located in the heart of Pasadena, California, far west of Wall Street. As financial advisors and wealth managers, we are accountable to our family of clients for providing advice and investment results that enhance prosperity and peace of mind. First and foremost, it means that we must protect and grow the wealth of our clients: in that order. We must employ investment strategies that are proven to give us the highest probability of success, while providing a margin of safety. It also means that we never shift blame to the faceless ‘market’ if investment results fall short. We are committed to finding and executing the investment strategies with the highest probability of success for our clients. To accomplish our clients’ goals, we must therefore think independently. At times we will agree with the dominant opinions (and perhaps prices) but we’ll also often differ. When this difference of opinion is also expressed in an asymmetrical risk/reward tradeoff (naturally, in favor of the reward) we have fertile ground for sowing investment seeds. Ultimately our success has been borne out through our results. Though investment fads have come and gone, we have held steadfast to our investment principles. We are proud of the returns we have been able to achieve for our clients- returns that have been orthogonal to, rather than dependent upon, the whims of the market.
