HARTRON offers its expertise both in infrastructural development as well as promotion of projects. Under the infrastructure development the Corporation has set up Assisted Sector Projects, Electronics City, EHTP (Electronic Hardware Technology Park) and setting up ITT (Information Technology and Telecom) Complexes to strengthen the electronics and IT industry in the State. The Corporation through its R&D centres at Ambala and Gurgaon is providing a wide range of facilities, which include development of electronic, optical and optical instrument products, precision mechanical components, CAD/CAM training, servicing and maintenance of electronic and medical equipments, to cluster of cottage and small scale industries. Training is also provided through franchise centers in IT-enabled services, computer consultancy and software development. Presently, the Corporation is placing major thrust on application of Information Technology in Government and is actively involved in drafting the Information Technology Policy and Action Plan of the State.
