Harry Wicks Information

Harry Wicks is an accomplished artist and wood turner. His talent is uncovering the beauty locked inside the wood. Harry works everyday in his studio located in Cutchogue, LI preparing, turning, and polishing hs wooden art work. Though occasionally he works with exotic woods, most of his work---both artforms and utilitarian --- is created from what turners call 'Rescued Wood'; i.e.; trees which were downed by storm or sickness. Types of wood Harry uses includes cherry, maple, tulipwood, Osage orange, red and white oaks. You can view his work in galleries across Long Island and Vermont. Harry offers classes to those intersted in developing the art and skill of turning wood.
