Achievement First is a growing network of non-profit, high-performing, college-preparatory, K to 12 public charter schools in Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. The mission of Achievement First is to deliver on the promise of equal educational opportunity for all of America's children. We believe that all children, regardless of race or economic status, can succeed if they have access to a great education. IDEA Public Schools believes that each child can go to college. Since 2000, IDEA Public Schools has grown from a small school with 150 students to a network of tuition-free, K-12 public charter schools in the United States. Currently, the network serves nearly 88,000 college-bound students in 145 schools across Texas and its affiliates. IDEA has been recognized in national rankings for The Washington Post, The U.S. Department of Education’s list of Blue Ribbon Schools, and U.S. News & World Report’s Top High Schools lists. In the last 18 years, IDEA has sent nearly 100% of its graduates to college and remains on track to uphold that legacy.

Northside ISD is located in northwest San Antonio and is the fourth largest school district in the state of Texas with an enrollment of 94,702 and staff of 12,900. NISD is one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the state to earn a Recognized rating from the Texas Education Agency. The District is growing by about 3,000 students a year, which is a testament to the quality of our educators and superior instructional and extracurricular programs.
