Dr. Baptiste (she/her) is a licensed psychologist (PSY 32587) and the owner/founder of Mosaic Psychotherapy Center. Dr. Baptiste earned her B.A. from Middlebury College and her doctorate from the University of Vermont. Dr. Baptiste’s passion for serving underrepresented populations, particularly people of color and immigrant communities, was born from her earliest childhood experiences in Montreal, Canada; bred within the bicultural, biracial, and bilingual context of her family of origin; and later, continuously reinforced through living in a uniquely diverse and culturally vibrant neighborhood in otherwise homogenous Vermont. Across her career, Dr. Baptiste has had the privilege of serving refugees, asylum-seekers, torture survivors, and other immigrants; youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; adults with HIV/AIDS; incarcerated youth; adult probationers in mental health court diversion; and people with serious mental illness. Her research examines the psychological impact of intersecting identities in individuals who possess multiple stigmatized attributes. Teaching, training, and mentorship are important components of her work. Dr. Baptiste loves true crime; Italian food; and cuddling with her cat, Dolce, and dog, Truffle.
