Our purpose is to optimize physical, emotional and psychological health for every single person that comes through our door. We do this by offering therapeutic and safe touch, safe space and safe interactions. As we reopen for business, let there be zero question on our position regarding racism and social injustices. Racism and hatred are the opposite of our purpose. White supremacy is real and is part of the system we all grow up with and we all need to do the work to educate ourselves, to stand up and to speak out about what needs to change. The recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery and the many, many others those we know the names of and those we do not are all horrific acts of violence that are just the tip of the iceberg. If these are the events hitting the headlines, how many others are not? And if these are the events leading to a persons death, what is the quality of a life in fear, a life restricted to doing what is safe? We stand with Black Lives Matter. Hand in Hand opened its doors in 1991 and after a year of traveling to China and Mongolia, moved to Marblehead in 2004 establishing itself in several locations including The Kings Rook and on Washington Street near the Harborlight Inn. In 2016 we left the U.S. to see more of the world and after 5 months in New Zealand, 5 months in Indonesia, 4 months in Thailand, a long while in Europe including 15-months in Portugal and several months on Hawaii, in August 2019, almost exactly three years from the date we left Marblehead, we have found ourselves back again! Over the years as full-time practitioners, we have worked with olympians, marathon runners, Guinness World Record holders, TedTalk presenters and famous actors and musicians. We offer free Chair Massage to the public and the musicians who perform at the fabulous Me & Thee Coffeehouse in the UU Church in Marblehead every Friday night..
