Bristol Zoological Society is a conservation and education charity which owns and operates Bristol Zoo Project. We lead ground-breaking conservation and research projects spanning five continents across the world. With nearly a quarter of all mammal species and a third of amphibians threatened with extinction, there’s an urgent need to safeguard our wildlife. From the forests of the Philippines to the shores of South Africa to right here in south west England, we work tirelessly with local communities to save wildlife, improve the environment and enrich lives.

In ARTIS inspireren en stimuleren wij een breed publiek verantwoordelijk met natuur om te gaan. ARTIS met haar 25 rijksmonumenten bestaat uit een historisch stadspark, het bekroonde museum ARTIS-Micropia en het Artisplein met het aanliggende ARTIS-Groote Museum, ARTIS-café restaurant de Plantage en de ARTIS-Studio. ARTIS, dat sinds 1838 bestaat, is een stichting en een officieel erkend goed doel met het CBF-Keur en de ANBI-status. Er zijn ongeveer 160 medewerkers in dienst van ARTIS. Daarnaast zetten jaarlijks ruim 300 vrijwilligers en 80 stagiairs zich in voor ARTIS. Er zijn op iedere afdeling stageplaatsen beschikbaar voor studenten van allerlei opleidingen.
