Haliburton Forest is a private land stewardship company based in central Ontario. It owns and manages 100,000 acres of hardwood timberland along the southeastern boundary of Algonquin Park. The company consists of two divisions. The first is the Tourism & Recreation division, which offers dogsledding, snowmobiling, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, canopy tours, and group experiences. The second is the Forest Products division, which manufactures hardwood lumber, wood fibre products, split firewood, log homes, custom furniture, canoeing paddles, and more. Haliburton Forest was the first forest in Canada to be certified as sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council and is proud to be recognized as a world leader in land stewardship, ecotourism, and wood processing.
