Authorised by Shaun Robinson, Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, Eden 3, Ground Floor, 16 Normanby Road, Mt Eden, Auckland 1024.
We specialise in mental health promotion with a focus on the provision of information and resources on topics such as depression awareness, youth mental health promotion, suicide prevention, social inclusion and the reduction of stigma and discrimination, consumer/tangata whaiora issues, older people’s mental health and workplace mental health.
We seek to inform, influence and advocate in all areas of mental health and wellbeing through research projects, policy and development work.
Auckland City Mission - Te Tāpui Atawhai supports Aucklanders in greatest need. Our services have evolved as the city’s social needs have done and we respond to these needs with care and compassion while advocating for a reality where there are: enough suitable homes, enough money for nutritious food and easily accessible health care for all.
Since our doors opened more than 100 years ago, this has been our ‘why’. We offer support for however long and in whatever way needed – for some people that’s simply accessing one of our many services, for others that’s a complex journey with our full support. Whether it's a specific issue that has led people to the Mission, the effects of the continuing poverty cycle, or a culmination of many problems, the Mission's is there to help.
Youthline is a collection of organisations that work together to make sure young people are able to get the best support, when they need it. We work with young people, their familes and those supporting young people. Our organisations are made up of volunteer and paid staff members - and we have centres based across the country.
We were proudly established in 1970 by a group of people who realised that there were not a lot of options for young people needing to access help and development services.
We understand that sometimes it can be difficult asking for support. It can also be difficult working out who to contact for what. To make sure it's as easy as possible to use our services, and other services who work with young people, we make sure that we have good relationships across the country with other providers so that we can point you in the direction of local services.
