VersuchsStollen Hagerbach (VSH) – The Underground Future Lab – is a large-scale underground research and testing environment. Our tunnels, caverns, experimental fields, laboratories and seminar rooms provide a unique setting for research, development, testing and full-scale trials. Specialists from around the world use Hagerbach as a research laboratory and training ground for pioneering solutions related to underground space. We work on our own developments as well as on customer-driven projects, in close cooperation with industry, public authorities, associations and research institutions. Through participation in Swiss, European and international research programs, we have built extensive expertise across multiple disciplines. Since our foundation in 1970, Hagerbach has continuously evolved in line with technological and societal needs. Today, we combine quality, competence and flexibility with a unique underground infrastructure that enables innovation under realistic conditions. Selected areas also offer space for professional exchange, complementing research activities with meetings and events in an exceptional environment.
