HACKLAB Foundation is a non-profit organization, established since September 2015 in Ghana, focused on preparing the youth for future jobs, by helping them develop their skills, connecting them to industry and breeding entrepreneurs who create jobs for others. We do this by decentralizing and democratizing Access to technology education and tools, hence our tagline, Advancing Technology in Africa. Our initiatives have impacted over 2000 youth since our inception including children between the ages of 7-13 years who participate in our Hacklab Junior Makers Summer Camp. We believe that creating an equal platform for everyone, irrespective of race, gender, social class, and physical limitations will allow for a fair chance to compete for the same opportunity. This has been the core of our initiatives. The Foundation is known for its Annual Hackathon/ Technology Conference which brings together developers, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in Technology to meet and discuss issues arising, identify opportunities and the way forward in making Ghana a better place using technology. With over 450 people under one umbrella, they compete and develop industry standard solutions to address local problems in 36 hours Our Vision To become a global vehicle driving growth and development in Africa using technology. Our Mission 1. We are a progressive non-for-profit entity, holistically and wholistically molding young individuals for the global marketplace with technology as our backbone. 2. Breed a competitive environment for innovation and creativity among the youth. 3.
