Hackchester is a student-led cybersecurity society at The University of Manchester. We teach cybersecurity skills to our members through interactive weekly workshops. Everyone brings along a laptop, an install of Kali, and we show how vulnerable the web is. Our workshops explore the tools hackers use to exploit web vulnerabilities. This gives our members the competency to develop secure applications in any line of computer related work, using knowledge not taught on any courses here at Manchester. Our events require no previous experience with cyber, computer science, or even programming. We hold CTFs too for those who want to put their skills to the test.
