Habitat for Humanity Queensland Information

A not-for-profit affordable housing developer partnering with community, business and government to address the affordable housing crisis in Queensland. Our vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Through donations of money and materials, plus volunteer labour under trained supervision, Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates houses with the help of the homeowner families. The home is sold to the homeowner family at close to market price. This money is deposited in the Fund for Humanity so Habitat Queensland can build or renovate more homes for families in need. Homeowners are chosen according to their need and ability to repay the loan plus a willingness to work in partnership with Habitat. A non-discriminatory policy is followed when selecting families. HfHQ is affiliated to Habitat for Humanity Australia and Habit International. There are 3 dynamic Chapters in Queensland located at Brisbane, Ipswich and Gympie.
