NTV began broadcasting in 1996 being the first 24-hour news channel in Turkey. In January 1999, it became a member of the Doğuş Media Group. CNN TÜRK, 11 Ekim 1999’da Doğan Medya Grubu ve Time Warner’ın ortak girişimi ile kurulmuştur. CNN TÜRK, CNN’in kendi ismiyle Atlanta dışında yönetilen ve 24 saat ulusal bir dilde haber yayıncılığı yapan ilk ulusal kanaldır. Ayrıca CNN TÜRK, Türkiye’de yabancı bir medya kuruluşu ile ortak olarak kurulan ilk televizyon kanalıdır. 2018 yılında Demirören Medya Grubuna geçmiştir. CNN TÜRK, haber, güncel, yaşam, ekonomi ve spor programları ile bağımsız, tarafsız ve ilkeli haberciliğin güzel bir örneği olarak yayın yapmaktadır.
