GWIL - Guelph Women in Leadership Information

GWIL was founded at the University of Guelph to initiate critical discussion about closing the gender gap and encouraging female students to dream beyond convention, feel thoroughly confident about their ambitions, and actively pursue their passions. Our organization strives to celebrate the success of leaders in the business world and consequently empower young professional women to work past professional obstacles as they begin their venture into today's workforce. We aim to run initiatives which support leadership development in order to drive fellow students to become proactive agents of change. Seeking to embolden every female student within our reach, and redefine the woman of today, we at GWIL feel strongly about salvaging, empowering and resurrecting a gender which has been severely and ruthlessly underestimated and relentlessly over labelled – particularly in the corporate world.
