Gwaa Information

The GWA is a state wide, non-profit conservation organization based in Thomson, Georgia. All moneys raised by GWA are used within the border of the state to fund habitat and wetlands restoration projects along with conservation educational programs. GWA is the primary sponsor of the "Georgia Wood Duck Habitat Restoration Project", an ambitious plan to construct an install over seven thousand Wood Duck boxes throughout the state over the next five years. Once completed, this project will produce more ducks than the annual estimated harvest each year. GWA has also implemented the "Georgia Waterfowl Food Plot Project" as a means of establishing over one hundred food plot feeding areas strategically located across the state. GWA has sponsored and continues to sponsor Eagle Scout projects across the state of Georgia.
