Established in 1989, David Duncan Antiques is a trade resource for antique lighting, antique furniture, and antique textile cushions. Located at 247 East 60th Street in New York City, the gallery is housed in a 19th century brownstone conveniently located near Bloomingdales and the D&D building. With an emphasis on fine and decorative furnishings and accessories, David Duncan's inventory consists of unusual examples of 19th and 20th century European lighting, including many pieces by Bagues and Caldwell. The gallery also features an extensive array of cushions made of 18th century Flemish tapestry and vintage Fortuny fabric. Swedish and French furniture of neoclassical design round out the collection. Sourced from European auctions and markets as well as Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue estates-often with distinguished provenance-the array of extraordinary objects gives the gallery visitor a sense of discovery.
