GrpFit Information

GrpFit is a small personable company made up of an all Black team. A team of friends with engineering backgrounds brought together under the same passion for health, fitness, technology, and community. The company was founded in the diverse and historic city of Oakland, CA, back in 2017. On the mission to empower their community through fitness and technology, these close friends built a platform for members to motivate each other and share their fitness journeys. As of 2015, Black people are 1.4 times more likely to be obese than any other group in America; Black women are 60% more likely to be obese than any other group in America; and the risk of getting heart disease and death by stroke for Black people in America is higher than any other group. The vision for GrpFit starts and ends with making our community healthier. We want to provide a safe and encouraging platform for people of all fitness levels to learn, share, motivate and inspire each other to become healthier without the misconceptions and gimmicks. GrpFit aims to be synonymous with Black Health and Fitness globally starting with you.
