Defining problems, creating relationships, and framing meaning. In a society that supplies an endless stream of information, readers are constantly exposed to words, images, and compositions that compete for attention. We are a team of strategic designers who care deeply about content, language and the role design can play in framing meaning. Employing a process that is at once intuitive, rigorous and iterative, we investigate and explore all possible solutions to a problem. We create design that allows for discovery without being didactic. Editorial decisions — visual and verbal — impact a reader's desire to engage with a piece and learn. We establish a stage for personal experience, providing new insights or knowledge, causing one to think or act — and leading to change. Structure fascinates us; we're interested in the relationships between form, language and graphic design-as-object. We are fueled by intellectual challenges and we are fond of projects that allow for an exchange between disciplines. Gallery 81, an intermittent gallery space, coexists within our studio and we frequently work with architects, interior designers, and other creatives. We strive to make work that is thoughtful, nurtures relationships, and gives back to our community. We are Group C.
