GROSSOPTIC was founded in Belgrade in 1994. The company is specialized in the production of corrective ophthalmic lenses in modernly equipped and well organized Rx laboratory and mass production plant. Thanks to the clear vision of continuous development and successful implementation of planned activities, Grossoptic took a leading position in the optical market in Southeastern Europe. At the beginning, the company activity was sale of Safilo eyewear program, wholesale of diopter lenses and manufacturing mineral lenses. In 1996 we opened the production facility for Rx lenses tracking the future strategic development path. The production plant has been modernized during the time through investments in new equipment and production processes. In the years that followed, the number of employees has been increased and care about their training and proficiency became an important part of business policy. Very good relationships were established with numerous international suppliers in order to provide quality row materials with competitive prices. All segments of Rx laboratory have been upgraded to perform additional processes: treatments and dyeing, laser engraving and printing, automatic packaging and robot control, as well as manual quality control with devices for final verification, making an integral part of the modern production plant. Grossoptic produces and markets nearly 2 million of ophthalmic lenses annually. Thanks to machines of the latest generation and Freeform technology software, specialized chambers for anti-scratch, anti-reflective and hydrophobic treatments, automatic laser marking, we are able to provide a wide range of high quality products in different materials, indexes and diopters.
