Established almost four decades ago, our Barristers, each in private practice, advise and appear across a diverse range of areas and specialities. They appear in all levels of State and Federal Courts and in various Tribunals. Griffith Chambers was named in honour of The Right Honourable Sir Samuel Griffith GCMG, QC, the first Chief Justice of Australia and twice Premier of Queensland. Our Chambers was named with the authority Sir Samuel Griffith’s family. The image of Sir Samuel on our website is taken from the original lithograph with Sir Samuel’s original signature of acknowledgement to the artist, and the lithograph hangs proudly in our Chambers. Griffith Chambers encourages a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our Chambers and its members are committed to promoting diversity, equality, respect and inclusion consistent with the principles of justice, integrity, equity and the pursuit of excellence upon which the profession is founded. We are committed to building a strong and respected legal profession, and adopt the Diversity and Equality Charter. Four members of Griffith Chambers are recommended in Doyle's Guide as leading Queensland counsel in speciality areas of practice.
