Griffin Refineries is a Finnish circular economy company with the objective of producing value from waste. By composting organic waste, recycling plastic, and transforming waste into environmentally friendly fuel, we help companies benefit financially and also act responsibility. We have 3 business units: The Organic Circularity unit provides a holistic organic waste management solution for sustainable recycle practices. Our solution integrates circular economy concepts with new waste treatment technologies. By introducing composting in the different stages of the food production chain an array of opportunities for new products presents itself. Companies can simultaneously create valuable products and operate in an environmentally friendly manner. The Fuel from Waste business unit is helping our customers saving costs by transforming waste to fuel, with a focus on RDF (Refused Derived Fuel). We offer fuel from waste solutions for companies that need to reduce landfills and their fossil fuel consumption. Our flexible turn-key solutions include every step of the process – planning, delivering, installing and operating the fuel from waste facility. Our broad network of partners and suppliers helps us provide our customers with the most suitable solutions for their needs. For the moment, our most significant project is the Emirates RDF joint-venture in the United Arab Emirates. Griffin hosts the international Plastics Recycling Ecosystem platform, with the aim to join together actors in the plastics recycling chain. They represent legislators, brand owners, product designers, packaging producers, waste owners, collectors and recyclers and technology suppliers in plastics recycling. Within the platform, partners can connect with business contacts and create new business opportunities. The Ecosystem is financed by the governmental organization Business Finland. We also offer versatile expert services for all stages of the plastic waste value chain.
