GRID Logistics, Inc. (GLI) is a Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) portfolio company, based in downtown Los Angeles. GLI is focused on streamlining containerized goods movements from source to destination using a three-pronged regional solution, called the GRID Project. The GRID system is designed to significantly reduce port-related air pollution, alleviate freeway congestion, reduce highway/road maintenance costs, and speed the transportation of containerized cargo from the San Pedro Bay (SPB) port complex to the inland regions of both California and the nation. The GRID Project also offers ancillary benefits in the healthcare and real estate spaces due to the reduction of diesel particulate matter (DPM) pollution, and the large acreage yield from container- terminal consolidation.
