Women have an essential role to play in the management of sustainable resources around the world, as they tend to be more represented in professions such as land managers, resources users or farmers and are, in many contexts, more affected by environmental degradation. Moreover, women are more likely to be engaged in environmental protection , and into pro-environmental behaviors, while men are more likely to support environmental utilization. However, women's involvement in the decision-making processes of sustainable use of resources is often very limited. Particularly in lower-income countries, their role is subordinated to men, and conservation efforts are not prioritised. Supporting women in conservation efforts has therefore been proven to have greater impacts than support directed to men. At Greenseed, we want to empower women with leadership skills to run sustainable businesses in environmental conservation. We provide them space, trainings, and tools to develop their own projects in this field. Our goal is to promote women's role in environmental protection by ensuring appropriate guidance through the development of their projects.
