Greeniant Information

Greeniant was founded in 2012 by Geert Jan Dirven; an experienced IT manager who has made a career at several large companies. In the last ± 7 years previous to the start of Greeniant, he worked with "algortimic computing. A very specific workfield which is dominated by specific, often smaller companies. By applying this technology on an enterprise level, he was able to go into wider areas and eventually became interested in the power switch. He was also a member of the advisory board of a successful start-up in the energy sector and developed strategies wich could be reality with the use of complex Information Technology and algortimes. At the end of 2011 Dirven independently decided to go ahead and start his own business. By working with partners at first, various parties developed a prototype which was tested in 2012 with several relevant parties in the Netherlands, including network operators and energy suppliers.
