Greendals was founded with a simple premise: make sandals from used car tires. In the US, there are millions of discarded tires dumped into our rivers, littered in back alleys, and strewn across the countryside. We support the agencies that find the tires and give them a new life by turning them into shoes. So when you wear your pair of Greendals, you’re pulling another tire from the shores of the Mississippi, an abandoned lot, or the side of the road. And not only do you get a durable, handmade sandal with a story, but you do something real to help the earth
