GREENbimlabs is a research project and prospective spin-off focusing on the development of concepts to improve sustainability in the building sector. Based on Building Information Modeling (BIM) we develop software tools to simulate and optimize buildings’ material and cost efficiency for the entire life cycle. These principles are applied both during design and during the building life cycle (e.g. renovation and maintenance). Our developments contribute to the saving of scarce resources and the protection of the environment. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy within the EXIST Forschungstransfer program.
