Greater Lansing Aikido (GLA) started in the Fall of 2017, under the guidance of the internationally accredited Aikido organization: Aikido World Alliance (AWA). GLA Chief Instructor, Jeremy M.L. Hix, holds the rank of Nidan (2nd Black Belt) in Aikido through Hombu Dojo (International Aikido Headquarters) in Tokyo, Japan, and is a certified Instructor of Aikido through the AWA. GLA works jointly with the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department to spread the teachings of Aikido in a safe and fun environment.
