The Greater Kalamazoo United Way (GKUW) has been making a difference in Kalamazoo County for nearly a century. Founded in the 1920's as the Community Chest, we merged with the Community Services Council in 1971 and became the GKUW. Since then, you've helped us raise more than $199.5 million through our Annual Community Campaign. We remain committed to promoting improvement and growth in Kalamazoo County. Knowledge, relationships, leadership, change and hope are important characteristics that drive GKUW.
